Sean R. Astwood, PDM Deputy Leader and FiveCays candidate, led another impactful cleanup campaign to combat littering andillegal dumping in the constituency. The campaign targeted the main roadleading from Bar's gas station to Bugaloo's restaurant, a key route that shapestourists' first impressions of Five Cays. Astwood stressed that littering is anationwide problem and called for greater awareness of waste management,recycling, and environmental protection.
Astwood emphasized that illegal dumpingposes serious health and environmental risks, urging community members to adoptresponsible waste practices. He highlighted the importance of keeping trash insecured receptacles, properly sealing garbage, and encouraging businesses toeducate employees and display anti-litter signage. "Litter affectseveryone," he said, "from degrading public spaces and harming aquaticlife to lowering property values and wasting recyclable materials."
The PDM team, joined by Party LeaderSharlene Cartwright Robinson, At-Large candidate Karen Malcolm, localbusinesses like Bugaloo's, and dedicated volunteers, demonstrated theircommitment to a cleaner environment.
