Construction is underway at the entrance toFive Cays in Providenciales as part of a beautification project led by DeputyPremier and Five Cays MP, Hon. Sean Astwood. The initiative, which includeslandscaping around the "Welcome to Five Cays" sign, aims to transformthe area’s look and feel. Work is being carried out by local landscapers Juniorand Jesus Rigby, with support from community partner Amanyara, in a three-waycollaboration to uplift the constituency.

Astwood commended residents and businessesfor supporting his long-standing vision for revitalizing Five Cays. In additionto the entrance beautification, nearly $4 million from the recently passedbudget has been allocated for critical roadworks, including the complete pavingof Granny Hill, Matilda Circle, and the radar station road, along with gradingsubdivision roads. Astwood has also secured private sponsorship to fullyrenovate the community’s basketball court and center, with plans to introduce schooland community programs.

Addressing the issue of squatting in FiveCays, Astwood noted the government's ongoing efforts to develop a nationalstrategy to tackle illegal settlements while containing their expansion. Withthese projects, he reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure andopportunities for the Five Cays community.
