Hon. Sean Astwood, Member of Parliament forFive Cays, has assured residents that all roads in the constituency will bepaved as part of his "Operation Facelift" initiative. Speaking duringa House of Assembly meeting on August 17th, 2020, Astwood declared hiscommitment to improving infrastructure in Five Cays, even vowing to overcomeany obstacles posed by the Opposition. "The roads will be paved, and theyain't going to stop it," he said, emphasizing that the community deservesnothing less than equal treatment and development opportunities.

Astwood reiterated his dedication todelivering significant upgrades and opportunities for his constituents,rejecting any notion that Five Cays residents should be treated as second-classcitizens. He highlighted his promise to ensure that the community gets its fairshare of resources and improvements, stating, "They will not be put on theback burner for anyone." Astwood also criticized Opposition Leader Hon.Washington Misick for what he described as a "negative fixation" onthe progress being made in Five Cays, urging him to support rather thanundermine the community's development.

The Deputy Premier defended his efforts toadvocate for Five Cays, noting that the area has long awaited meaningfulupgrades. He underscored that the residents of Five Cays are taxpayers andcitizens of the Turks and Caicos Islands and deserve the same level ofinvestment as other communities across the nation.
