Deputy Premier Hon. Sean Astwood, Ministerof Infrastructure, Housing, Planning, and Development, conducted site visitsthis week to review the progress of key government projects, including roaddevelopments, school upgrades, and other infrastructure initiatives. Astwoodaimed to ensure works are on track for timely completion.
The minister assessed Phase Four of theRoad Development Project, encompassing roads in Blue Hills, Wheeland, and FiveCays. Notable progress includes near completion of Laney Lane in Wheeland,scheduled for completion within the week, and the Tumpa Avenue project in BlueHills, slated for early September 2019. The $1.3 million project, includingwork near the radar station, is expected to wrap by September 2019.
Astwood also reviewed school infrastructureprojects, including $1.8 million in repairs at Oseta Jolly Primary and a $1.5million early childhood block expansion, both scheduled for 2020. Repairs atClement Howell High School, valued at $700,000, are underway. Additionally, hevisited the completed EMS Base and inspected the new Providenciales PrimarySchool in Long Bay, a $4.7 million project set for completion in August 2020.Astwood expressed satisfaction with the progress and reaffirmed his commitmentto overseeing project success.
