The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) hasunveiled its “Fantastic Five” At Large candidates for the upcoming generalelections, blending experienced politicians with a fresh face. The lineupincludes Sean Astwood, Ralph Higgs, Robert Been, Karen Malcolm, and newcomerDr. Ruth Ariza. Announced during a press conference in Providenciales, thecandidates were chosen following a national survey, which PDM Leader EdwinAstwood credited as a reflection of public trust and engagement. Emphasizingthe party's commitment to addressing citizens' needs, the leadership expressedoptimism about this team’s ability to tackle pressing issues such as crime,illegal immigration, the high cost of living, and infrastructure challenges.
The PDM leadership stressed unity andresilience as the foundation of their campaign. Astwood highlighted thedifficulty of narrowing the 19 applicants to just five At Large candidates butassured the public that those not selected would still have meaningful roleswithin the party. Deputy Leader Robert Been described the team as "servantleaders" dedicated to bringing positive change, while National ChairmanEzra Taylor called on the public to focus on the party’s potential rather thanits past. The team pledged to work collectively to solve the nation’s mostpressing problems, including unemployment, healthcare access, and socialinequalities.
