The People’s Democratic Movement (PDM)Government proudly highlighted its achievements, reporting $8.9 million incompleted capital projects and overseeing 57 projects valued at $51.6 million.Deputy Premier and Minister of Infrastructure Hon. Sean Astwood provideddetails during a press conference commemorating the Government’s three-yearanniversary on January 7, 2020.

Completed projects include Long Bay HighSchool’s phase three, Grand Turk road works, emergency shelter repairs, andclinics in Kew and Bottle Creek. Ongoing efforts, totaling $30 million, featurethe new Providenciales primary school, government office complexes, andwidespread school refurbishments. Additional works include upgrades to clinics,shelters, and public buildings across the islands.

Eighteen tendered projects, valued at $11.8million, are advancing through various stages, including roadworks, parkrefurbishments, and enhancements to key public infrastructure. Astwoodemphasized his ministry’s commitment to delivering these transformativeprojects while highlighting the recent hiring of technical staff to ensuretimely execution and sustainable development.
